All coaching plans are month to month. I do require a minimum commitment of three months for all new clients.

Yes. My workouts require the use of equipment. Most ideal is a gym that has dumbbells, incline bench, cables, leg press, leg extension and leg curl.

If you have the right equipment you can. Some things you’ll need if you want to attempt to work out at home: incline bench, dumbbells, barbells. if you have a combo leg press/hack machine, leg curl/leg ext, and a cable machine that’s even better!

I typically program 4 day training splits. But ultimately it's up to what makes the most sense for you. Anywhere from 3-5 days/week is good.

Nutrition is the biggest piece of the fitness puzzle. If you want to grow your muscle you must adequately fuel your body. This requires enough protein, carbohydrates and fats to get you where you want to go.

I provide both but keep in mind a meal plan outlines the basics for each meal. I promote flexible dieting so you can create sustainable habits the go beyond your time with me.

Strength Squad FAQs

Strength Squad is a hypertrophy program run on the Trainerize Platform. Preview of a training block here. These videos go into detail about the stimulus, exercises and possible substitutions, progression over the block, and other hot points. This particular video is 24 minutes long just to give an idea of the detail I attempt to provide.

Ideally you want access to dumbbells, cable machines, and machines. In the training platform you have the ability to select substitute exercises from my exercise library to suit your equipment.

If you are looking to upgrade your home gym here is some equipment in which you may want to invest: incline bench, dumbbells, 20º wedges, combo leg press/hack squat, combo leg ext/leg curl, cable machine.

My programs are 4 day training splits. I will rarely do full body training splits. If you only have 3 days to train or prefer 5 days, simply adjust your calendar.

Workouts will always load on Mondays. In other words, if you join mid-week, the training block won't begin until Monday.

Yes! 60 min on Zoom. Usually the 2nd Tuesday of each month. 6pm MST. Registration link will be sent a few times throughout the month. If you are unable to attend, no worries! All calls will be recorded and added to #strengthsquad library. Topics will vary from exercise execution, nutrition, mindset, etc.

All my tension-based programs run for 8 weeks. There will be periodic 1-2 week deload programs.

All my programs can be used for maintenance, fat loss, or builds.

Updates must be done through the web portal and not the app. Log into:   strengthtrainwithval.trainerize.com and navigate to My Account (drop down in top right corner under your name) > Purchases. Click Cancel auto-renew. You will have access to the Strength Squad through the end of that billing cycle.

To update your credit card follow instructions above but click on Payment Information under My Account.

Strength Squad is subscription based. Billing occurs on date of enrollment. Credit/debit card will be billed on that same day each month. Payments are processed via Stripe. You can cancel at anytime and your account will remain active up until the next billing date.

The Strength Squad video library will include educational content, some of which will be around nutrition. Should you prefer to get more detailed assistance, you can purchase a 30 min call with me.

As this is a hypertrophy program, set up and execution is extremely important. We will have monthly educational calls that will include some time to review certain exercises from the group. The introductory videos for each new program will hit on some tips for a couple exercises as well. If you're looking personalized exercise critiques you can can purchase a 30 min call with me.

I’ve been working with Valerie for a total of about a year-and-a-half now and initially came to her eating 1168 calories per day. I had signed up with an online program to do a 30-day cut and after the 30 days were over, I kept doing the cut but wasn’t getting any results. My goal has always been to lose body fat and gain muscle. I have always wanted that competition bikini girl look but have never known how to achieve it on my own. Exercise has been a part of my life since I was in high school and has become more so as I’ve grown older. Even though I am a mother of four, I don’t want to use that as an excuse for me not being able to reach my physique goals. I feel like there is no reason that you cannot reach those goals, and Valerie has proven that after having 3 children of her own. I know that it CAN BE DONE! Valerie has taught me that with consistency, those goals can be achieved. After beginning with Valerie, she raised my 1168 calorie diet up to about 1600 calories right off the bat and I actually started losing weight! Not only was I losing weight but I was also gaining visible muscle. Valerie has always been available to answer my long list of questions that I always have for her and has never been annoyed with it. She’s always been very thorough answering my questions and explaining the reasoning for the training we are doing and the nutrition and macros she has prescribed to me. She always encourages me every week with positive words which helps me to stay consistent. She is always educating herself to learn more and then passes the information along to teach me as well. I came to Val because I was frustrated with what I was doing. Although, I was eating healthy, doing cardio and lifting, something was not right. I was bloated everyday, I was tired, gaining weight and so hungry all the time. Val listened to all my concerns and came up with a plan of action fast.
